Sydney truly is one of the most beautiful cities in the world set on a stunning harbour and with in easy reach of a golden chain of inner city beaches it is no wonder tourists in their millions flock here year after year.

When it comes to which city is Australia´s true global city, there´s no argument. It´s Sydney with its sense of style, its love of sport and exuberant celebrations including New Year´s Eve and Australia Day.

All of its attributes lie within easy reach of the city centre. Sydney´s harbour is its natural playground, the dominant factor in so much of what the city has to offer. The city has a wide-ranging cultural life, dynamic food scene and vibrant cityscape of outstanding contemporary and colonial architecture. Iconic beaches and five major national parks deliver unforgettable experiences.

Sydney´s laid-back outdoor lifestyle and physical allure make it one of the world´s easiest and most pleasant cities to visit. The people who live here are a friendly, energetic bunch with a tell-it-like-it-is approach to life as visitors to the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games found out for themselves.

Paddy´s Markets
Sydney&Acute;s biggest market in the city. It´s more mainstream in that the stalls stock new items, albeit cheap or discounted because of the lower overheads incurred as a result of having a temporary shop front. Some retailers use the markets to extend their reach to consumers and others to sell overstocked items at a discount. Paddy´s Markets are open from 10am to 6pm on Thursday and from 9am to 4pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They are situated under Market City on the corner of Hay & Thomas Streets.

The Rocks Markets
Mainly trade in good quality crafts, homewares, arts and collectibles. The setting is magnificent and the pubs are good for a snack and a beer or if your looking for something more substantial, try one of the many first class restaurants nearby.

The Rocks markets are a short stroll north from Circular Quay railway station along George Street. They are held on both Saturday and Sunday every weekend from 10am to 5pm.

Glebe Markets
The traditional alternative markets. Pre-loved clothing, arts, crafts and edible goodies are abundant. There is a good grassy area to let the kids loose in or it makes a good spot for a picnic. You´ll find some pretty neat second-hand goods here and some not so neat.
